Eating and drinking
France > Provence > Western > Villeneuve > Eating and drinking

There's a good choice of eating places in the town centre. Try La Banaste, 28 rue de la République (tel 04.90.25.64.20; closed Tues & Sat lunch; menus from €20), which serves plentiful terroir meals. For a blowout, head for posh La Magnanerie, 37 rue Camp de Bataille (tel 04.90.25.11.11), off rue de la Magnanerie, with a Provençal menu for €40 (à la carte over €70), or the luxurious restaurant of Le Prieuré, where subtly blended Mediterranean flavours dominate (menus from €34, à la carte over €84). Alternatively, Aubertin, 1 rue de l'Hôpital (tel 04.90.25.94.84; closed Mon out of season), serves a €31 menu in the shade of the old arcades by the Collègiale Notre-Dame (à la carte from €55). A little further out of town, at 3 av Pasteur, is the popular Mon Mari Etait Pâtissier (tel 04.90.25.52.79; closed Mon; menus from €17), where the chef has moved on from pastries to swordfish.
