Description : This castle was the property of Louis XIV finance minister Fouquet. When he invited the King to show off his beautiful castle, Louix XIV was so jealous that he immediately had Fouquet imprisoned and asked the two architects Lenôtre and Le Brun to build him an even more spectacular castle. They set off to work and built the Palace of Versailles.
