Description : The first Gardens of Eyrignac were created during the 18th century by Louis-Antoine Gabriel de la Calprenède, the grandson of the builder of the Manor. He was an adviser to the Great Counsel and appointed Controller General of Accounts and Finance by Louis XV. He had a large fortune, which enabled him to embellish his residence in Perigord. Eyrignac is a fairly exceptional family estate, which has never been sold. For the last five hundred years it has always be and still is inhabited by the original family.
