The French equivalent of Britain's Wimbledon complex, Roland-Garros, lies between the Parc des Princes and the Bois de Boulogne, with the excellent address of 2 av Gordon-Bennett, 16e (tel 01.47.43.48.00; www.frenchopen.org; M° Porte-d'Auteuil). The French Tennis Open, one of the four major events which together comprise the Grand Slam, takes place in the last week of May and first week of June. Tickets need to be reserved months in advance using the postal booking system (check the website above for details), and tennis club members are heavily favoured. However, you can sometimes pick up tickets for unseeded matches online at www.ticketnet.fr, or at Roland Garros itself on the day of the tournament if you're lucky.
