The Palais Omnisports Paris-Bercy (POPB) at 8 bd Bercy, 12e (tel 01.46.91.57.57, www.bercy.com; M° Bercy) hosts all manner of sporting events – athletics, cycling, handball, dressage and show-jumping, ice hockey, ballroom dancing, judo and motocross – as well as stadium rockers like Iron Maiden and Lord of the Dance. Keep an eye on the sports pages of the newspapers (except Le Monde, which has no sports coverage at all), and you might find something that interests you. The complex holds 17,000 people, so you've a fair chance of getting a ticket at the door, championships excepted.
