The easiest place to get tickets to see a stage performance in Paris is from one of the FNAC shops or Virgin Megastore. In addition, same-day tickets at half-price and €2.50 commission are available from the ticket kiosks on place de la Madeleine, 8e, opposite no. 15, and on the parvis of the Gare du Montparnasse, 14e (Tues–Sat 12.30–8pm, Sun 12.30–4pm), but queues can be very long. You can also book tickets online at www.theatreonline.com.

Booking well in advance is essential for new productions and all shows by the superstar directors. Prices vary between around €8 and €30. Previews at half price are advertised in Pariscope, etc, and there are weekday discounts for students. Most theatres are closed on Sunday and Monday, and during August.
