In the last few years Paris clubs and rock venues have begun to concentrate on international sounds, mostly Latin and African music, or French takes on those sounds, leaving the big rock bands to play the major arenas. Most of the venues listed here are primarily concert venues, though some double up as clubs on certain nights, or after hours. A few of them will have live music all week, but the majority host bands on just a couple of nights.
