Fantasyland
France > Paris > Disneyland > Fantasyland

Alice's Curious Labyrinth A maze with surprises. There are passages that only those under 1m can pass through and enough false turns and exits to make it an irritatingly good labyrinth. Takes fifteen to twenty minutes, though there is the option to exit at the halfway point.

Blanche-Neige et les Sept Nains This Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs ride takes you through lots of menacing moving trees, swinging doors and cackling witches, recreating scenes from the classic Disney film. Can frighten smaller kids.

Le Carrousel de Lancelot A stately merry-go-round, whose every horse has its own individual medieval equerry in glittering paint.

Dumbo the Flying Elephant Dumbo and his clones provide a safe, slow, aerial ride in which you can regulate the rise and fall of the revolving elephants yourself with a lever. One of the most popular rides in Fantasyland, though it only lasts a measly 25 seconds.

It's a Small World This is a quintessential Disney experience: there's one in every Disneyland, and Walt considered it to be the finest expression of his corporation's philosophy. Your boat rides through a polystyrene and glitter world, where animated dolls in national/ethnic/tribal costumes dance beside their most famous landmarks or landscapes, singing the song It's a Small World. Some children seem to enjoy the sugar-coated fantasy.

Mad Hatter's Tea Cups Great big whirling teacups slide past each other on a chequered floor. Again, not a whizzy ride, but fun for younger ones.

Le Pays des Contes de Fées A boat ride through fairytale scenes: Alice in Wonderland, Pinocchio, etc. Fine for little kids.

Peter Pan's Flight The very young seem to really enjoy this jerky ride above Big Ben and the lights of London to Never-Never Land. Uses Fastpass.

Sleeping Beauty's Castle The castle stands at the entrance to Fantasyland, just off the central plaza at the end of Main Street. There's little to see inside other than a few bits of plasticky vaulting, naff stained glass and cartoon tapestries, though a huge animated dragon lurks in the dungeon.
