Adventureland Bazaar A clever bit of shopping mall disguised as a souk, with traditional Arab latticed walls, desert pastel colours, and all sorts of genuine Hollywood details.Adventure Isle Not a ride, but a sort of playground of caves, bouncy bridges, huge boulders, trees, tunnels and waterfalls built on two small islands in the middle of Adventureland. Parents of over-tired children and those who need a break from the queues should not underestimate the thrill of just being able to wander around unfettered. La Cabane des Robinson The 27-metre mock banyan tree at the top of Adventure Isle is one of Disneyland Paris's most obsessively detailed creations, complete with hundreds of thousands of false leaves and blossoms. It's reached by walkways and a series of more than 170 steps, so it's best avoided by pram-pushers and toddler-haulers. Indiana Jones and the Temple of Peril: Backwards! A fast and quite violent roller-coaster through a classic Indy landscape, made all the more frightening by the fact that it's done backwards. The minimum height for the ride is 1.40m. Children under about 8 years old, pregnant women and people with health problems should steer clear. Queues can be avoided by using Fastpass. Pirates of the Caribbean This satisfyingly long ride is one of the finest, consisting of an underground ride on water and down waterfalls, past scenes of evil piracy. The animated automata are the best yet be warned that they set small children whimpering and crying immediately. Battles are staged across the water, skeletons slide into the deep, parrots squawk, chains rattle and a treasure trove is revealed.
