The centre is a ten-minute walk from the gare SNCF (Boulogne-Ville), down boulevard Voltaire then right along boulevard Diderot. The tourist office (July & Aug Mon–Sat 9am–7pm, Sun 10am–12.30pm & 2.30–5pm; Sept–June Mon–Sat 9am–12.30pm & 1.30–6.30pm, Sun 10.15am–1pm; tel 03.21.10.88.10, www.boulognesurmer.com), at 24 quai Gambetta, can advise on availability of rooms – which, in summer, get taken early. There's plenty of inexpensive accommodation in Boulogne, plus a couple of upmarket places around the centre.
