The only section of the Norman coast to have serious delusions of grandeur is the stretch that lies immediately west of the mouth of the Seine. The Pont de Normandie across the river estuary from Le Havre has made such places as Trouville and Deauville too hectic for comfort, though only Honfleur could be said to have had all that much to lose.
