If finding budget accommodation is one of your main priorities, it probably makes sense for you not to stay in Honfleur at all, and simply to visit for the day. Especially on summer weekends, so many visitors turn up that even the most ordinary hotel can get away with charging rates well above the average for Normandy. No hotels overlook the harbour itself. The two-star Camping du Phare (tel 02.31.89.10.26; closed Oct–March), is on place Jean-de-Vienne at the western end of boulevard Charles-V.
