Though the tourist authorities responsible for the Pays d'Auge have laid out a Route du Fromage and a Route du Cidre, you won't be missing out if you don't follow these itineraries. For really good solid Norman cooking this is the perfect area to look out for fermes auberges, working farms which welcome paying visitors to share their meals. Local tourist offices can provide copious lists of these and of local producers from whom you can buy your cheese and booze.
