By usual Norman standards, room rates in Cherbourg are very reasonable and there's no great reason for ferry passengers to avoid spending a night here, though the crowds and traffic can get a bit much, and the lack of parking space can be a problem. Few hotels, however, bother to maintain their own restaurants.
