The last bus from the centre leaves at 7.30pm; bus #14 from place Masséna, direction "Place du Mont-Boron", stop "L'Auberge". Backpacker's Hotel 32 rue Pertinax tel 04.93.80.30.72, [email protected]. Close to gare SNCF, this venerable backpacker's favourite has clean, six person dorms (€17). Extremely friendly and no curfew. Clairvallon Relais International de la Jeunesse 26 av Scudéri tel 04.93.81.27.63, [email protected]. Located 10km north of the centre, but it's slightly cheaper than the HI hostel (€13), pleasantly informal and has a pool; take bus #15 or #25, stop "Scudéri". Camping Terry 768 rte de Grenoble, St-Isidore tel 04.93.08.11.58. The only campsite anywhere near Nice, 6.5km north of the airport on the N202; take the #700 bus from the gare routière to "La Manda" stop, or the Chemins de Fer de la Provence train to Bellet-Tennis des Combes.
