Practicalities
France > Corsica > Golfe de Valinco > Campomoro > Practicalities

There are no bus services to Campomoro, but hitching is fairly reliable once you've turned off the main Propriano–Bonifacio road. The village possesses a couple of campsites and two hotels: Le Ressac, about 100m behind the chapel (tel 04.95.74.22.25, fax 04.95.74.23.43; April–Oct; €55–70), a friendly family-run place with excellent views across the bay, is generally a better option than the more expensive, more formal, Le Campomoro, overlooking the beach at the tower end of the village (tel 04.95.74.20.89, fax 04.95.74.20.89; €70–85). Of the two campsites, Camping Peretto Les Roseaux, 300m from the post office towards the tower (tel 04.95.74.20.52; May–Oct) is the more peaceful. For food, try the popular La Mouette café opposite the church (tel 04.95.74.22.26), which serves a selection of filling salads for around €8 on its beachside terrace. For a more sophisticated meal, a better choice is Le Ressac's restaurant, which offers two menus: one at €19, offering Corsican standards such as cannelloni al brocciu, squid, and lamb stew; and a pricier €28 menu poisson, which features the best of the day's catch from the local boats.
